A Sonic fangame starring a fan character seems like it has no right to look this good. So many original assets! Legitimately great level design! Game mechanics that mix Sonic the Hedgehog with Rocket Knight Adventures! You could divorce this game from the few remaining Sonic references (rings and sound effects) and it could stand completely on its own as an original thing (to the point where, at the end of the first act, it feels strangely out of place to see a Sonic-style end panel).
I could’ve sworn there was more video of other levels, but I might just be thinking of this, because checking the date, it looks like this was posted in December. In light of that, I seem to recall Strife (the creator) mentioning something about iOS support, so maybe he is divorcing it from the Sonic references and plans to sell it on its own.
I hope there’s a PC version, ‘cause I am still pretty excited to play it.
Edit: Aha.
Strife Said:
The video is actually slightly outdated, and I’ve since replaced the rings and Robotnik signpost as well as a lot of the Sonic sound effects. Though, I’m not sure if I would be allowed to post a thread about it, since with each passing day it gets harder for me to figure out whether it’s a fangame or an original game with Sonic physics.
