The Prelude
Nobuo Uematsu
If you didn’t know, I have an interest in music creation. That being said, I never really considered myself a musician - I took and flunked out of middle school music classes, where I kinda-sorta played the trumpet (the principal even lent me his old trumpet, because there wasn’t enough instruments for me in that class). I’ve never learned a lick of music theory and can’t compose worth anything. The few original songs I’ve tried my hand at have been garbage that don’t even hold a beat. So, instead of bashing my head against that wall, I grab MIDIs off VGmusic.com and toy around with them in FL Studio.
This is one such MIDI, “The Prelude” from Final Fantasy VII. Technically this appears in a lot of Final Fantasy games, but this MIDI in particular came from the PC version of Final Fantasy VII, so that’s where it gets attributed to. I may go ahead and upload this one to my Tindeck eventually. For those wondering what the difference is between my version and the original, it’s usually not much - I don’t remix, per-say, I just make it sound higher quality, with better instruments. Here’s the original for comparison:
I do on rare occasions take requests, but note that most of the time requests usually end up kind of awful because I have to pick and choose specific MIDIs I know I can work with.
