JUST WAIT ONE SECOND

Are you meaning to tell me that as I was burning the ISO for my copy of Windows on this cruddy old laptop, it reported 2,388 cdrom device errors in a span of about 35 minutes?

And now my copy of Windows is constantly complaining that it is corrupt. No other partition of the HDD is showing signs of corruption. As far as I can tell, the HDD is in perfect healthy working order. It’s just Windows itself that seems to be having problems.
