Every now and then it seems somebody accidentally flips the wrong switch and a beta version of the new Youtube redesign gets enabled for a single page load. Oddly, this is completely different than a version I saw just a few days ago; the version I saw a few days ago had the Google.com black bar across the top of the screen and had this abysmal fold-out sidebar.  As for this design, I’m not sure about it. Somebody at Youtube really seems to have a hard-on for “everything all on the same page at the same time” and it just ends up looking cluttered and unnecessary (and usually means the page is more prone to breaking, because if a single element fails to load, it usually throws a monkey wrench in to the whole rest of the page).
