You probably missed my Sonic 4: Episode 2 livestream, given that it was in the middle of the day and was only announced on Twitter. I could have, and should have, told NeoGAF and probably Sonic Retro, but I totally spaced it out. Despite this, I made it a “big production”, giving live commentary over the gameplay footage and everything.

Turned out okay, I think! The last time I tried to do a solo let’s play, it turned out to be a disaster, with lots of dead air and stupid jokes - it was the stereotypical bad LP. But this ended up a lot more natural and fun. Maybe it’s because it was my first blind playthrough - I had plenty to talk about and react to.

Expect a lot of swearing. I know I don’t swear too much around Tumblr or Twitter, but as I say in the video archive, “This is Sonic 4 Episode 2, subtitle: ‘Oh Shit’.”

My only regret is that the archive is so low quality - a side effect of my capture card; it’s easiest for me to stream to uStream in 320x240, which despite what you might think, doesn’t look THAT awful, at least not on my end. But with all the compression artifacts you get here (especially at the start, though it smooths out over the course of the stream) it can be kind of tough to tell what you’re looking at. But, given that I’d need $80-$200+ to upgrade my capture setup, this is the best you’re going to get for a real long time.

I really need to get the Sonic Endurance Race archive up.
